Since the formation MASTERS in 1979, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has experienced 21 line of duty deaths. We know each of these tragedies has a lasting impact on the family, and the Patrol as well. MASTERS continues a strong commitment to provide support that will ease the burden of those left behind. We feel the moral responsibility to honor these sacrifices by providing the support which allows the family to place their focus on healing and caring for each other and reduce the financial difficulties these tragedies bring.
Sadly, the dangers found across this country in the law enforcement profession are increasing. It is an important message when we say "The support from MASTERS is not for what the Patrol does...It is for what they are willing to do and the unselfish belief in their motto....Service and Protection."
